Hi Jayson, could you first please tell me a bit about yourself?
Sure, I am a Registered and Licensed Dietitian and have been focusing on helping individuals lose weight for more than 10 years now. I am a part of America’s Premier Experts as their nutrition and weight loss expert. I am also a Certified Strength and Conditioning specialist.
Could you tell me about your Carb Rotation Diet
The Carb Rotation Diet was designed because I had numerous people coming to me and asking if this diet was good or if that diet was better. It went on and on. Then they started asking me why they couldn’t keep the weight off and why their weight came back. I then realized that all they were doing was following a strict program for so many weeks and then reverting back to their old ways. So I created the Carb Rotation Diet to satisfy two requirements of successful weight loss.
1. The first requirement was to follow a plan that would shed fat fast without damaging the metabolism.
2. The second requirement was to teach those who followed the Carb Rotation Diet how to maintain their new bodyweight once they lost the weight. I do this by having them develop behavioral changes during the weight loss phase. So once they reach the maintenance phase it becomes a piece of cake to maintain their new bodyweight.

So when working with a client what are the most important fat loss strategies you would use?
I would use nutrient timing to manipulate the hormones to achieve the desired response which is increased fat loss.
And how is your ebook based around these strategies?
It is based completely on nutrient timing and combining nutrients in a certain way so that we can achieve and elevated fat burning level.
Jayson, would you prescribe different diets for males and females?
Not necessarily. I may tweak the diets a little, but the concept would be the same. You need to establish that core nutritional foundation which applies to men and women. Once you have the foundation then I may tweak the program to enhance the fat loss for a man or a women.
What is the biggest myth you’ve come across when eating for weight loss?
The biggest myth is that you should restrict your calories and eat only 2-3x a day. Doing this sabotages your metabolism which holds the key to successful weight loss.
Could you give us a few things you see people doing, that really messes up their results
Well, I already mentioned restricting their calories. Also, trying to eat no carbs because it is impossible to stay on this long term and when they revert back to their old ways the weight piles on quicker than ever. You do need some carbs and it is just a matter of learning how to control them to get the hormonal weight loss response you desire.
If there was one Carb Rotation Diet secret you could share with everyone what would it be?
You need to have a plan and stick to it. If you fail to plan then go ahead and plan to fail. Without a plan you won’t ever know what works and what doesn’t.
Any last thoughts on healthy nutrition for fat loss?
Take action. Don’t wait until you think you have everything in place. Take action now and there will be bumps along the way, but keep putting one step forward and you will succeed.
